Job Description
We are looking for a Director of Marketing to join our team and build a world class marketing engine. Reporting to the Chief Revenue and Data Officer, you will accelerate our rapid growth by driving the strategy and execution of all our acquisition and retention activities. You will be a strategic thinker with a bias for execution and willing to roll up your sleeves. You will have start up experience and be a technically minded, data driven growth hacker with broad channel experience, but particular expertise in online. The Marketing Director will look after a broad team, with particular focus on organic search, email and organic social channels, some paid activities across SEM and paid social, offline campaigns, incl. PR, OOH, direct, radio and TV. You will lead the marketing team and focus on email and paid social as well as build our SEO and organic efforts. You will work closely with other teams such as Data, Product and Partnerships. Responsibilities * Devise targeted brand, acquisition and retention strategies across all digital channels * Responsibly manage budget and performance goals * Partner up with our data teams to better understand our users, develop measurement frameworks and test new strategies; build data foundations, automation and set-up new tooling to improve the operations and activities run by the team * Develop digital campaigns and conduct in-depth analysis of campaign results and use these to iterate on future plans. * Continually test new marketing channels, ad formats, creative, and copy * Manage a growing team Requirements * Ideally 10+ years of marketing experience * Previous experience in running a multi channel team, strong experience in organic channels preferred, as is growth hacking and e-commerce channel experience * Experience with different attribution methodologies and incremental measurement frameworks * Experience working cross-functionally with data and product teams to optimise acquisition funnels and retention levers * Passionate about delightful user experiences and connected journeys * Good mix of data driven and creative * Self-sufficient for every day reporting and basic analysis (including cohort analysis). Comfortable pulling reporting from marketing platforms and Looker is a must, Excel super-user * Strong communicator, including storytelling through data * Self-starter and problem solver * Previous leadership experience of people with diverse skills and backgrounds * Start up experience preferred; creative and hands on in a greenfield environment Benefits FutureLearners live and breathe the company values and have a strong connection with our purpose, to transform access to education.
