Job Description

The Director, Product Management will be responsible for managing our Content Services Business Line, leading initiatives to enhance and develop new services in the VOD Distribution and TVE space. This role, reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, will work with Customers and across functional boundaries, in partnership with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Project Support Staff and Finance to plan, develop, measure, manage existing services and create new services. + Support the Product Strategy and Product Planning activities + Develop assessments as to target market potential, based on Market Research and partnership with Sales Staff to qualify and quantify potential sales funnels + Evaluate Market Opportunities and lead the development of Business Case analysis and Financial Modeling to ascertain the viability of potential target markets + Perform and oversee research activities, including market analysis and competitive analysis + Lead the development of Market Requirements Documentation and Service Level User Stories for receipt by our Agile Development Teams and cross-functional delivery organization, consisting of Content Processing, Network Operations, Content Licensing and Programming + Facilitate the prioritization of requirements across competing priorities across the product lines, in partnership with Product Line Managers and other key stakeholders + Work alongside the engineering team to set development priorities, define and implement a product roadmap, contribute to testing, and manage products through initial launch and subsequent releases + Lead the development of pricing and positioning of new/existing product offerings + Partnering with other members of the Product Management Team, and other stakeholders, in establishing Roadmaps, Forecasts, Budgets and KPI's + Participate with the sales organization in client visits, on and off-site, to understand market requirements - develop "peer" level relationships with key customers and vendors + Contribute to the development of annual and quarterly financial plans + Partner with marketing to develop product collateral such as technical white papers, presentations, sales tools, and competitive analysis and other marketing programs + Create and deliver sales training for the direct sales force, channels and support teams + Regularly monitor the performance and trends of the market, customers and our products to refine go-to-market approach + 6+ years' of experience in product management or product development in a fast paced software/managed services environment + Bachelor's Degree required + Master's Degree desired but not required + Experience developing/managing services/products that serve domestic and international marketplaces + Experience developing and deploying IP based SaaS infrastructure solutions + Digital Media, Content Services or other related experience strongly desired + Direct work experience at a content provider, such as a major network or studio, and/or for a vendor who sells into this market + Industry experience and relationships in the Major Movie Studios, Major Broadcast Networks or Media verticals + Senior management experience in Product Management and/or Product Marketing + Experience in building and launching services across a heterogeneous environment (i.e. multiple formats, devices, networks and segments) + Working knowledge of Video On Demand (VOD) technologies, ecosystem and business models + Strategic thinker, analytical orientation with hands-on "get it done" attitude + Strong verbal and written communication skills + Highly reliable, responsible, and accountable for group and individual goals + High degree of technical expertise and business acumen + Highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient + Demonstrated strengths in communications, risk management, conflict resolution skills working in a team environment and mentoring team members + Willing to travel approximately 10% Key Results and Deliverables (What does success look like): + A charismatic and credible communicator who leads by example + An individual who leans forward and reaches out to team members to actively collaborate + Strong team player who can build strong relationships at all levels of the organization + An ethical and proactive leader who can maximize the resources of a start-up environment + Have excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal + Clear roadmap and value proposition for portfolio of services + Requirements in the form of: documented, clear and concise, proper breadth and depth + Multiple new services/growth initiatives driving incremental revenue and new customers ID: 2020-2734 External Company Name: Vubiquity External Company URL: www.vubiquity.com Street: 3 More London
