A professional family who are moving to Westminster, London SW1 are looking for a new, long-term housekeeper/cook to join their household staff in their new property. Package Offered * £40,000 - £55,000 gross per year Family Background A professional family who have a business in Canada are moving to Westminster, London SW1. They have three children who are 7, 5 and 3 and a fully staffed household, including a Butler/Driver and a Nanny for their 3 children. A live in housekeeper/nanny will be coming with them. This is a formal household and the staff wear uniform. They are looking for a professional housekeeper/cook who has great experience working in a formal household. The property has 6 bedrooms and lots of stairs, you should be active and able to keep up with the busy household. The family have no pets and no travel is required for this role. Duties Your main focus will be on the housekeeping and cooking. All deep cleaning and daily cleaning, washing and ironing. You should be skilled in working in large and luxurious properties, with the attention to detail. You should be confident with household management, and able to help the family move into their new property, prepare it and ensure it runs smoothly with the other staff. You should respect the existing staff and work well with new staff coming into the family household. Cooking is another focus of the role. They would like someone who is confident cooking different cuisines and they are open to all types of cooking. You should be confident in preparing meals and following recipes. The family regularly entertain and provide formal lunch and dinner service. You should be confident cooking for larger groups of people and cook to a high standard. It is not fine dining but they expect a good range of cuisines and healthy cooking. You should be a strong team player and be looking for a long-term position in which you can provide the highest standard of attention. The family enjoy discipline and respect within their household, hence why they take a formal approach to etiquette in the household. However they are down to earth, and enjoy a good and positive teamwork environment amongst the household staff. Location This is a live out role so you should be within easily commutable distance to Westminster, London, SW1. Days/Hours Monday to Friday. 9am - 6pm. With flexibility to cover weekends if agreed in advance Languages You must speak a good level of English in order to communicate with the family. Special Skills You should have great experience in housekeeping in a formal household. You should be a confident cook and be able to prepare meals and follow recipes. Interview/Start date ASAP - the family representative in the UK is interviewing, with offers being made prior to the family arrival in August. You will be in place working by the end of July ideally to help with smooth transition for the family arrival. We are recruiting safely within the COVID-19 regulations. Employment Type: FULL_TIME
