Job Description
The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Adult Theatre Suite consists of modern theatres covering a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, Trauma and Emergencies. The Orthopaedic elective Theatres are looking to recruit a Band 6 Team Leader. This post is crucial for the day to day operational management of the Orthopaedic Spinal service and to support preoperative staff in this diverse, developing specialty. Frequently dealing with and supporting staff with the complex patients and surgeries. The specialty includes the Spinal surgery service for the West of Scotland and beyond. We require a highly skilled, knowledgeable and passionate leader to ensure the safe delivery of person centered care. You will require to challenge the multidisciplinary team members to take forward improvements and take charge of a large staff group. You would be required to deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse in operational, administrative and management duties in their absence.. You will be a Registered Adult Nurse or a Registered Operating Department Practitioner with the appropriate registration. Experience in Theatre practice within this specialty is essential.
