Team Medical Secretary - Perinatal Service

Job Description

You will ensure that an effective and efficient secretarial and administrative service is delivered to the multi-disciplinary team which comprises of Managerial, Psychology, Nursing, and Occupational Therapy staff within adult community mental health services. This will include reception duties, data input, record management and general typing. You will work independently much of the time managing calls and emails. You will be required to deal with referrals and enquires through a single point of access and also support the generic functions and duties of the wider administrative team. You must show competence in the use of range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL or by a recognised qualification in Administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience. You should be conversant with office procedures and systems and able to demonstrate prior experience of working in a secretarial or administrative role. You should have relevant experience learned by working at a more junior level through which a thorough understanding of office procedures has been obtained. The shift pattern for this post is Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm.
