This exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Orkney Learning & Education Department for a Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) for Nurses and Midwives. The Practice Facilitator (PEF) role will enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future nursing/midwifery workforce. The postholder will work within with the education team under the direction of the Clinical Education Facilitator (CEF), along with Practice Education Lead for Allied Health Professionals (PEL AHP) and administration staff. They will contribute towards cohesive partnership working between NHS Orkney, universities and Colleges and work closely with all nursing and midwifery staff within Orkney Health & Care and NHS Orkney. The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse or Midwife educated to degree level (or working towards with evidence of continuing professional development at SQCF Level 9) and have experience of supervision and assessment of students. Experience of delivering post registration and/or higher education teaching is desired but not essential, but must be willing to work towards. The post holder must be committed to their own professional development and have an interest in education and development of others.
