Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen on Gateway I at the NHS Treatment Centre based at the Queen's Medical Centre Campus for an experienced receptionist/bookings clerk. Gateway I provide Gastroenterology, Colorectal, Hepatology, Urology & Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic services in an outpatient setting. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help provide a professional, efficient and caring reception service for patients, visitors and staff at the NHS Treatment Centre. You will need to have had previous experience of working in a busy reception or office environment within an NHS organisation and have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen carefully to enquiries and accurately convey verbal information in a busy environment. You'll be required to work as part of a team and have the ability to use your own initiative. The department is open Monday - Friday 07.30 am - 8.00 pm with an occasional need to work on a Saturday on a rotational basis. Successful candidates will be required to work on a rota system with other staff and hours will vary on each rota. We require all our staff to have the flexibility to work a varied shift patterns in order to ensure receptionist cover is provided during these times. This posting is for a 12 month fixed term contract.
