Type of vacancy Permanent Work pattern Part Time - Term Time Only Number of hours to be worked per week 7.5 Location including post code The White Hills Park Trust, Moor Lane, Bramcote, Nottingham, NG9 3GA Salary or Hourly Rate Band A Points 23-26 Actual Salary - 4,775 to 5,548 Advert text As we expand, the White Hills Park Trust is seeking to appoint a Trust Governance Manager to work closely with the Governing Boards (Chief Executive Officer, Trust Board and Local Governing Bodies), to develop, lead and manage the Trust governance functions to enable the Multi Academy Trust (MAT) to fulfill its statutory and regulatory reporting responsibilities and to be governed effectively, efficiently and compliantly. This is an annualised hours contract a Minimum of 300 hours, equivalent to 7.5 hours per week. Term Time Only + 1 Week (40 Weeks) Key Responsibilities: * Provide advice on governance, constitutional and procedural matters. * Provide effective administrative support to the Governing Boards, which involves preparing agendas inconsultation with the Chief Executive Officer, Chairs and Head Teachers; taking and writing up the minutes and distributing documentation and other information to the Governing Boards. * Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements, including becoming familiar with the DFE's Governance Handbook and provide accurate advice to the Governing Boards, as necessary. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently and organise their own time whilst working to strict deadlines. This post is part time, predominantly home-based working and requires a degree of flexibility from the post-holder as the schedule of meetings and workloads around them can vary. Governing Body meetings usually take place in the evenings in WHP Academies or WHP Offices in the Broxtowe area, where the post-holder would attend to take minutes and provide advice. Working hours will include an allocation in the region of 10 hours for each meeting, based on attendance at approximately 25 meetings per year, preparation time and follow up. The successful candidates may also be required to service additional meetings in order to meet the governance needs of our Trust and its academies. Whilst experience of working in a similar role would be considered advantageous, it is not essential as full training will be given.
