ICG's primary business lines are Corporate & Investment Banking, Markets & Securities Services, Treasury & Trade Solutions and Citi Private Bank Job Description Team/Function Overview Global Public Affairs (GPA) is responsible for enhancing and protecting Citi's reputation around the world. In EMEA, GPA includes four key disciplines: media relations, employee engagement, institutional branding and community development. The regional head of each of these disciplines sits in London and is responsible for oversight of that discipline both within the London hub, and for the region as a whole. Citi has an on-the-ground presence in 55 countries throughout EMEA, and GPA has individuals or teams based in 27 of those countries. GPA's EMEA hub is located in London, Citi's regional headquarters. Role / Position Overview The EMEA Employee Engagement Manager will work with the EMEA Head of Employee Engagement to drive employee engagement activities throughout the region, both within the London hub and Citi's 55 EMEA countries outside of the UK. The role will work hand in hand with Products and Functions to develop and drive delivery of strategic engagement plans to meet their needs. The Employee Engagement Senior Manager will also support the Public Affairs Officers across EMEA to ensure strategy and message alignment as well as cross fertilization of ideas across the region. Key Responsibilities: Employee Engagement and Leadership Communication + Partner with Senior Managers of Products and Functions to develop and drive delivery of engagement plans to address the key priorities and business needs including: + Understanding the perspective of various employee groups and their levels of engagement + Identifying communication gaps and transmission blockages within and across businesses + Developing a management-led engagement and communication strategy to influence employee mind-set and behaviour as well as ensuring better alignment with the overall organisation + Partnering with management to lead that strategy, drive execution of the plan and exercising quality control + Influence and support Product and Function leaders and people managers in their employee communication with a key focus on: + Crafting their messaging to meet the needs of target audiences and + Cutting through communication 'noise' across their business Geographic Alignment + Work with Public Affairs Officers (PAOs) in countries across the region to support development of their country and cluster employee engagement and communication strategies and plans + Provide PAOs with tools and advice to enable local execution of their strategies and plans with particular focus on aligning messages across the region + Build a cross regional network to encourage collaboration across the PAO community with specific focus on cross fertilisation of best practice Development Value: The successful candidate will support the EMEA Head of Engagement manage a comprehensive employee engagement and communication strategy for a global organisation within one of its key regions, encompassing on-the-ground operations in 55 countries and with more than 23,000 employees. The role plays a critical role in driving ongoing change initiatives at the company to create a more collaborative and cohesive culture with our clients at the centre of everything we do. The role involves active engagement with a wide range of senior leaders from around the EMEA region, helping them to build and strengthen connections for their teams throughout the organisation.
