The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Adult theatre suite consists of modern theatres covering a variety of specialties including General Surgery, Urology, Vascular, Orthopaedics, ENT, Gynaecology, Trauma and Emergencies Our emergency theatre suite is looking to recruit a team leader to drive and develop our service You will be a Registered Nurse trained in general nursing or adult nursing or a Registered Operating Department Practitioner. Experience in Theatre practice and/or particularly in emergency theatres is essential As part of the multidisciplinary team you will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care and the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients within the perioperative department. The ability to work on your own initiative but also as part of an integrated team is required. You are required to demonstrate flexibility by working within a service that runs over a seven day week. Furthermore, you will be expected where necessary to engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde in order to achieve the needs of the service. The shift pattern is variable.
