Job Description

As an Associate Technical Consultant, you'll join our professional services team, working on complex technical projects for a diverse range of clients (including more than half of the Fortune 500) to help them get the most out of their Atlassian software, including installing, upgrading, configuring and customising the whole suite of Atlassian software (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), as well as other non-Atlassian software, such as Slack, and supporting customers with a range of professional services, such as complex migrations, upgrades and performance tuning. This role will also play a supportive function to the sales team to assist with pre-sales - discussing customer needs, providing estimates, and offering technical guidance. The Associate Consultant role is an opportunity to develop your technical and client facing skills in a fast-growing sector with strong ongoing demand for Atlassian related services. We look to support you through continual professional development with first class training and project-based learning opportunities spanning the Atlassian product suite, agile methodologies and the ever changing technical landscape such as AWS, Azure, and DevOps. Duties include, but are not limited to: Atlassian Solution Consultancy * Use knowledge of Atlassian products to gather and analyse requirements, research and present solutions to clients, and make suitable recommendations * Communicate regularly with a range of stakeholders * Participation in pre-sales, helping define scope and estimates for projects as well as helping in solution design * Participation in internal knowledge-sharing and improvements * Travel to client sites and working on site where necessary Atlassian Solution Implementation and Delivery * Installations, upgrades, migrations for Atlassian applications and associated technologies * Custom Atlassian solution design and implementation e.g., workflow, plugins/scripts, configuration * Scripting solutions with languages like Groovy and Python * Database administration and querying * Web integration of Atlassian and other applications using Rest APIs * System administration (Linux and Windows), particularly application servers Requirements Essential * Degree in technical field and/or relevant work experience * Workplace scripting experience * Experience with CLI interfaces such as Bash and PowerShell * Strong written and spoken English language skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute and support workshops with customers * Strong organisational and prioritisation skills * An ability to think innovatively and creatively * Team player and strong collaboration skills * Self-starting, strongly ambitious and tenacious Desirable * Experience with system administration (e.g. Linux and Windows) * Experience with database administration * Experience with web integration using Rest APIs * Experience with requirements gathering and analysis * Experience communicating with external customers and stakeholders * Experience within a fast-paced, fast-growth tech start-up environment Benefits Where youll be based Youll be based at our new HQ at WeWorks river-side flagship building, right in the heart of Londons buzzing Southbank with a panoramic view across the city skyline.
