Finance Manager - Control and Improvement Would you like a new unique opportunity to work to manage a finance team and work with international markets? We currently have a vacancy for a Finance Manager at our site in Warton or Samlesbury. As a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of a team of 3 staff dedicated to ensuring that good governance and controls are in place and operating effectively across the Europe and International business. Your team will ensure that the E&I Finance team has an appropriate set of processes and delegations in place, that the team has a robust and tested Business Continuity Plan, that a quarterly process is operating across the function that captures control issues and you will work with the function to identify and implement process and control improvements that drive business performance. This role will provide you with the opportunity to be join an established finance team that provides business partner support to multi-million pound contracts and to the different functions and shared services across the Europe & International business Your main responsibilities as a Finance Manager will involve: To lead the delivery of all internal and external assurance requirements as required. This includes: - Business Continuity lead for the E&I Finance team, - Completion of formal deliverables including Finance Policy Manual (FPM) compliance and Operational Assurance Statement (OAS) - Provision of management information to support key reviews - including E&I Audit Review Board, To lead the quarterly assurance process within E&I Finance. This includes: - Management of the Control Owner Self-Assessment (COSA) process - Provision of management information to Finance Leadership Team (FLT) - Working with Finance team to drive corrective actions and process improvements Focus on maintaining and improving financial controls through: - Maintenance of the Delegation of Authority (DOA) database including annual data cleanse - Support to Governance transformation activities in the UK Region of Air - Liaison with internal and external audit teams - Provision of advice and guidance to the E&I Finance team on all aspects of Governance Line management of team of qualified/part qualified/accountants: - Setting SMART PDR objectives and ensuring the right development conversations are taking place - Leading by example - acting with integrity and developing an inclusive workplace culture Your skills and qualifications: Hold a full ACCA, CIMA, OR ACA qualification You will have governance experience Financial Accounting experience Understanding of accounting and business systems Experience/understanding of long term contract accounting and business risk.
