Job Description
In October 2019 the government announced its Health Infrastructure Plan, a long-term, rolling five-year programme of investment in health infrastructure, including capital to build new hospitals, modernise primary care estate, invest in new diagnostics and technology, and help eradicate critical safety issues in the NHS estate. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) is part of phase 2 of this plan and the Modernising our Hospitals and Health Infrastructure (MoHHI) programme has been given the green light to go to the next stage of developing its plans (with the aim of being ready to deliver between 2025-2030). This is an exciting opportunity to be part of developing a new state of the art hospital and health infrastructure for the population of North and Mid Hampshire. As a senior member of the Business Intelligence team, the post holder will lead on the provision of strategic analytical support in conjunction with and for the MoHHI programme and corporate departments. They will also develop complex information reporting tools, presenting detailed analysis of activity & performance trends, providing expert analytical and statistical advice to clinicians, operational staff, the MoHHI programme team and Trust Executive and Board. What we look for is someone who can: * Analyse and interpret highly complex patient and workforce activity data to support all levels of management, clinicians and operational staff in performance management, day to day operations as well as strategic development and capacity planning both for short term planning as well as to the MoHHI programme team for long term planning * Investigate and resolve highly complex analytical queries, undertake detailed analysis and provide expert analytical interpretation on data outputs and trends * Provide a structure training in modelling tools for colleagues in Business Intelligence and the wide Trust and System * Work proactively within the MoHHI programme workstream structure What we Offer: * Support and training with regards to data standards * Work as part of the MOHHO and Business Intelligence teams * Participate in the development of the Business Intelligence reporting tool * The exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of the Trusts long term vision Work as part of the Who we are: The Business Intelligence team reports the Trusts performance against the national standards, leads on compliance with national returns, provides analytic support to the Clinical and Corporate divisions and Executive teams. It also maintains the reporting tool used within the Trust. The team includes the technical team to maintain and build the software tools that underpin the Business Intelligence provision, the Business Intelligence analysts team and the Clinical Coding team.
