Are you an experienced/aspiring Ward Manager looking for your next challenge? Give your career a positive change with an exciting and unique opportunity to work as part of a highly motivated specialist team at Kewstoke. We are recruiting for a Full-Time Ward Manager working 37.5 hours per week Plus On Call's (approx. 1 week in every 5). Knightstone Ward is a 16 bed highly specialised personality disorder service for women. The service provides a behavioural approach and a fully comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) programme focused on generalisation of skills. Our service user profile: * Women, aged 18+ * Primary diagnosis of emotionally unstable personality disorder (other personality disorder types will be considered) * Requiring assessment and treatment in a secure environment * Secondary diagnosis of disordered eating or autism * May present with co-morbid presentations: * Self-harm * Self-neglect * History of substance abuse * Complex needs * May have a history of trauma and/or abuse * May have experienced previous placement breakdowns All members of the multidisciplinary team are extensively trained in DBT, this includes members of the nursing team being DBT therapists or DBT essentials trained. The team comprise of a Ward Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Support workers and Social workers. The Opportunity... The Ward Manager will take full responsibility for their ward, providing clinical leadership to staff and patients. * Maintaining a professional and high standard of patient care. * Ensuring updated and relevant clinical and administration policies and procedures are adhered to and that these are accessible to all staff on the unit. * Keeping costs and expenditure within agreed budgetary limits. * Encouraging co-operation with other departments/units within Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke. * Taking a role in the Sales and Marketing of the company. * Line managing and supervising ward staff.
