Job Description
Your New Company PGL is the UK's leading outdoor education provider, delivering inspirational learning through adventure. They specialise in educational activity courses, school trips, French Language courses, children's activity holidays, summer camps and ski trips, with centres in the UK, France and Australia. Having their Head Office based in picturesque Ross on Wye makes it an easily commutable location whilst also offering a varied work location. To make PGL the success it is requires a hard working team across all functions who work in a cohesive way to ensure PGL continues to grow. Your New Role This position involves leading a team of BI Developers to ensure the delivery of essential management reporting to internal customers. Your role will be a 50/50 split between management and hands-on technical work. You will be working with technology to create reports in SSRS. You will also lead the development and implementation of a strategy for using data visualisation technology across the business. You will be joining PGL in a senior position at a very exciting time and assist in transforming the BI and reporting function. What you need to succeed You will have previous experience managing a team of BI specialists whilst also supporting the developers with a hands-on approach to development. Previous experience dealing with the wider business is essential to ensure that the business is utilising its data to its fullest potential across all departments and you will be able to take a "non technical" approach to ensure buy in. Systems experience required will be; * Experience with SQL Server versions 2008-2016 * Experience with T-SQL coding * Experience with ETL and SSIS development Experience of Database Design Experience of Data Warehouse Design * Creating reports in SSRS * Working knowledge of SSAS * Experience / Exposure to Power BI and Qlik View/Sense What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
