Job overview and responsibilities Accurately maintain the monthly payroll for employees and ensure proper internal controls, compliance to local government/ company policies & requirements. Ensure knowledge of current statutory government procedures are followed for the country. Local understanding of the law is imperative for the success of this position. Work with business partners to ensure compliance with the Company's policies and procedures. + Maintain monthly payroll for approximately 560 employees, working closely with all department managers to receive accurate variable monthly data for input and submission to payroll provider + Ensure all approved changes received from HR/HR systems are processed and submitted to payroll provider in a timely manner for New Hires, Leaves and all other changes + Process Employee Trip and Buddy Pass payroll deductions as appropriate + Reconcile and ensure accuracy of data on Payroll Trial Run prior to instructing release of Payroll Final Run, adhering to prescribed payroll payment dates at all times + Coordinate any special requirements for additional payroll processing with payroll provider + Producing monthly payroll and pension reports + Co-ordinate payment files twice monthly with payroll provider for approximately 500 Flight Attendants domiciled at LHR + Liaise with Payroll in Chicago to receive and make payment of government taxes monthly by the due date + Provide monthly and annual government tax data and payments accurately and on time according to government tax deadlines + Ensure pension and other statutory payments are processed accordingly to required timelines + Prepare monthly payroll journal for financial reporting + Assist accountants with calculation and reporting of Ex-Pat tax and National Insurance + Assist with internal and external audits of local, Flight Attendant and Ex-Pat payroll data + Provide support to employees for payroll and tax enquiries and maintain payroll files for local and ex-pat employees This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
