Our culture and values underpin everything we do. Approximately 1.1km apart, the A19 Testos and Downhill Lane junctions suffer from congestion, especially during peak times. Development of the International Advanced Manufacturing Park, will mean a long term increase in traffic at the Downhill Lane junction so the scheme will make major improvements to ensure these junctions are able to cope with increased vehicle numbers. Responsibilities * Delivery of a section of the project with a value of approximately 150m * Ultimate responsibility for all aspects of practical delivery of the section * Close liaison with the Plan Manager to ensure alignment of the construction and cl. 32 programmes * Drive team contribution to the collaborative planning and production control process * Ensure team provide programme outputs as required by the project planning process * Influence the design process and Highways England to remove blockers to progress * NEC contract administration to the client (EWNs, GCs, TQs and defects) * Oversight & management of design change and technical issues impacting the strategic plan * Ensuring all works are constructed in accordance with the works information * Oversight of the cost control process for all packages * Management of the team to ensure adherence to quality processes including ITPs, MARs, etc * Managing the strict adherence of project SHE processes * Management of a team of up to 30 engineering and supervision staff About you About you * Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng) * Extensive experience delivering infrastructure projects in a site role * Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS * A proactive and driven personality * Experience of working in a highly collaborative and team orientated environment * Experience in some or all: earthworks, piling, FRC, drainage, pavements, structural steelwork and vehicle restraint systems You'll be a welcomed member of the wider team, with opportunities to take on additional responsibility, join one of our networks for women, military or LGBT+ staff, and participate in cultural and social events with the local community (e.g. as a STEM ambassador).
