Job Description
On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker for the Birmingham area. We are looking for a passionate, professional and dedicated candidate to work with children with emotional and behavioural difficulties and challenging behaviours. As a member of the residential care team you will strive to bring out the best in every young person by supporting and guiding them in their daily lives. This could be accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll be doing the following: * Supporting the management to run a successful staff team and all day to day operations of the home * To assist the management team with the supervisions of junior staff * Inducting new staff into the homes procedure and culture * Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the young people's physical, behavioural and emotional needs. * Be the young person's champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential * Assist senior staff with the writing and maintaining of placement and risk management plans * Support young people in daily activities including family contact, attending local clubs, 1:1 activities in the community, promoting independence and social behaviour. * You will be assigned a key child and play a pivotal role in their day to day life including attending reviews and liaising with external agencies * Support and encourage educational engagement Due to the nature of the role a full driving licence is required. Salary is £22,323.91 per annum plus sleep in allowance
