Located in central Birmingham, BMI Birminghamhas embarked on a journey to integrate The BMI Priory and the BMI Edgbaston hospital into BMI Birmingham, taking the best in class to create a two site, single hospital, delivering outstanding care in the right location. The Priory hospital offers a range of routine, non-urgent, complex surgical and medical services, including cardiac surgery, through 118 registered beds, 5 theatres and a Cardiac Catheterisation laboratory. The hospital also benefits from being the only independent sector hospital within a 70 mile radius that delivers level 3 critical careITU facility. These facilities enable The Priory Hospital to offer unique and niche services to a larger catchment of private patients than a traditional independent hospital. The Edgbaston Hospital offers a similar range of routine and non-urgent services through 55 registered beds and 3 theatres. Our Imaging Department plays an essential role in the smooth running of the BMI Birmingham services, offering a range of diagnostic tests which includes all essential services: Plain-film x-ray, Fluoroscopy, Mobile and Theatre Imaging, Ultrasound, Mammography, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine. As a Senior Radiographeryou will be expected to support a range of modalities and support our 24/7 On-call service. We are confident that this post will give you the opportunity to build on and extend your clinical expertise in a variety of modalities. The X-ray department has recently addeda Philips 1.5T Ingenia MRI scanner, which operates a 7 day service to keep our patient wait less than 7 days and a Canon- Aquilion One, Genesis 640 CT scanner that supports our growing demand for not only routine scanning but both interventional and Cardiac CT. The ideal candidate should be motivated, flexible and enthusiastic to develop both the service and themselves. No independent sector experience is required for this post.
