Job Description

This is as an exciting opportunity to join our Technology Operations team as a Senior Systems Engineer. As the Senior Systems Engineer you will support the systems and applications powering Cornerstone's world-class web based SaaS applications in our high availability global data centers. We are one of the largest SaaS companies on the planet with more than 12 Million business users on our application. You will work with the latest Microsoft technologies(we are a MS Gold Partner) in a fast-paced, interactive environment. You will be working with load balanced web servers, clustered Windows SQL servers, SAN storage, VMware, and other technologies supporting the Cornerstone SaaS application. This position includes responsibility for all system backups, disaster recovery planning and server security practices. You are expected to have expert level systems administration skills on Windows server platforms, in data center environments with hundreds of servers. You will research and resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of Cornerstone's web application software. We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in a complex globalized and localized software environment, advanced troubleshooting and problem analysis skills, excellent communication skills and superior customer service skills. Success in this role will provide a host of additional opportunities for professional growth You should have: + Strong experience in System Engineering and Administration, Networking or Data Center operation and support experience, specifically for a large technology or internet company + Deep understanding of web application protocols + Experience monitoring remote servers, applications, and cloud services + Scripting Experience: BASH, Python, Powershell + Familiarity with Cloud technologies, especially AWS. + Experience with Linux and Windows infrastructure; OS, networking, sysadmin + Multiple years working for enterprise corporations, preferably SaaS, in highly efficient and dynamic teams, using different hardware and software platforms + Collaborative team player that is excited to work alongside some of the most talented resources Responsibilities: + Work hard to keep Cornerstone's infrastructure and application services up 99.99% + Manage configuration, administration, upgrade and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, Microsoft clusters, Virtual Infrastructure, SQL Always-On Databases, Storage (HP, Pure, EMC), Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 and native Infrastructures, and multiple open source technology solutions + Act as the champion and driver for special projects and persistent issues + Drive incidents to resolution, ensuring that the service SLAs are met + Research and resolve complex problems encountered during the installation and operation of our software applications to ensure negligible impact on both client and internal operations + Maintain Cornerstone's global SaaS service ensuring all incidents are tracked and remediated and changes are implemented under the auspices of Cornerstone's policies and procedures Equal Employment Opportunity has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental commitment at Cornerstone OnDemand.
