An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Enterprise Wide Scheduling Junior Project Manager to join the Informatics team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). This is a 12 months fixed term opportunity. ABOUT THE TEAM UHS is recognised as an IT leader within the NHS. The informatics team at UHS Digital has overseen the development of a wide range of pioneering projects, to improve the delivery of healthcare services and improve patient outcomes. We are currently leading an exciting programme to become a paperless digital exemplar trust. In 2016 we were awarded the status of Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) in recognition of the projects we have already rolled out. UHS provides services to some 1.9 million people living in Southampton and South Hampshire, plus specialist services such as Neurosciences, Cardiac Services and Children's Intensive Care to more than 3.7 million people in central southern England and the Channel Islands. WHAT YOU'LL DO The role with be working with the EWS Project manager to produce documentation, including: * Project initiation documents * Project control documents (Risk and Issue Log), highlight reports. * Plan, develop and lead on the implementation plan with key stakeholders to deliver the key aims of the project. Ensure all milestones are met, reported and any breaches reported immediately. * Risk assess and lead the delivery of service transformation that fits with the legislative framework and policies relating to confidentiality, data protection and access to records. * Work with Senior Managers to deliver the aims of the project bringing all milestones in on time and within budget * Report progress against project plan to the steering group, executive lead, and other forums identified. * Manage diary commitments and work to project timescales. * Contribute to the development of the use of information to support improvement in the quality of care. * Identify any clinical benefits and financial saving opportunities that arise from the project. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a Junior Project Manager, with proven experience who is enthusiastic, well-organised and self-motivated to join our Informatics team for 12 months to provide project support to the Enterprise Wide Scheduling project manager.
