LNWUH is seeking a bright, talented, and dynamic individual for twelve months (maternity cover) to fill the role of Service Manager for Surgery at Ealing Hospital. We are committed to high quality service delivery and development and improving the patient's experience. You should have previous experience in NHS operational management, which you would be able to clearly demonstrate. The focus of responsibility will be management and coordination of processes and tasks that support efficient usage of Theatre bookings, out-patient clinics, medical staffing rotas, as well as overall support for RTT (18 Week) and Cancer Pathways. The environment is dynamic, fast paced and challenging and you will require a high attention to detail as well as being able to work under pressure. In return you would be part of a fantastic team and a strong support structure. Personal resilience, drive, focus and the ability to work to tight deadlines are essential requirements. The role would ideally suit someone with operational experience of NHS services, with knowledge of waiting time targets and looking to take their first steps into operational management. You will need to have strong inter-personal skills and be able to influence and motivate others and to support people through service improvement and transformational change. You will be able to work as part of a team as well as demonstrating the ability to be able to work independently, with some previous management experience. Being able to think innovatively and communicate effectively with a wide range of departments, teams and agencies is essential. The Service Manager role would be based at Ealing Hospital.
