PR & Communications Manager
Overview
Job Description
At Cutover, we're focused on building a cutting edge software platform to help Enterprise teams move quickly with confidence. We've come a long way in a short space of time: more than doubling our global team to 80+ people, bringing on board multiple top-tier Enterprise clients (including some of the world's largest Financial Services institutions), and having Index Ventures lead our recent $17m Series A round all in the past 12 months. What's even more exciting to us, is that our Cutover journey is just getting started... We're scaling our Marketing organisation in a big way in 2020 and we're excited to open the search for a talented Media & Analyst Relations pro. Reporting to our Chief Marketing Officer, this role will manage the development and execution of our media and analyst strategies by designing and delivering effective solutions to drive awareness for our brand. You'll be driving our growth by leading the implementation of cutting edge integrated PR campaigns across multiple regions, and building strong relationships with industry analysts and thought leaders. This brand new role is outcome-driven, and one which combines interpersonal, copywriting, storytelling, communication planning and general marketing skills - underpinned by experience in brand-focused and technology-enriched environments. What you'll be doing as our PR & Communications Manager? * Establishing a sustainable, strategic approach to media and analyst relations based on adding value to media outlets and by influencing industry analysts and thought leaders. * Developing media plans that specify which forms of media will be used to effectively reach our target audience. * Writing media releases and other press materials, as well as digital content for our social media outlets. * Cultivating relationships with influential print, digital and broadcast journalists and thought leaders to raise awareness of our brand. * Placing bylined articles in target media outlets to increase Cutover's share of voice. * Collaborating with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership columns (while becoming a subject matter expert on our space yourself) * Evaluating opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis: you'll bring a keen commercial eye to your work. * You'll have a finger on the pulse of our market and a keen understanding of industry trends affecting it; the team will be looking to you to make appropriate recommendations regarding our communication strategy surrounding evolving events and changes. * Being a key player in the design, execution, and management of our industry analyst, influencer, and thought leader strategies and plans. * Creating, nurturing, and managing positive relationships with industry analysts, industry influencers, and thought leaders, serving as a key, centralized contact point and connector. * Planning, scheduling, and managing analyst/influencer program activities such as participation in analyst research, conferences, advisory days, briefings, inquiries, and reporting. * Generating analysis of market performance, taking a data-informed approach to all that you do. * Creating and managing an industry awards calendar with a view to submit Cutover to relevant award categories. What would we like for you to bring to the table? * We'd love to see some strong media & analyst relations experience; we're thinking you're likely to have been doing what you do for 7+ years, mostly as an in-house team member, but we're keen to chat with agency-side folks, too. * You'll have a proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns at both a local and national level (we can't wait for you to share some examples with us). * You'll have strong relationships with local, national, and international business and industry media outlets. * You're comfortable in the limelight and experienced in acting as a company spokesperson; you're confident and skilled in the realms of both broadcast and print media interviews. * You understand how to build and maintain relationships with key influencers, leading industry analysts, and analyst firms. * You're a wordsmith, with exceptional written and editorial skills. * Social Media is second nature to you: you can demonstrate a strong body of work across blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter and more. * You're able to embrace the ambiguity of a scale-up: you're able to prioritise and work quickly, while tolerating a regular cadence of change. * You're passionate about your craft: you know the value of a world-class, innovative media & analyst relations program and you take pride in owning and refining key operational processes. The opportunities you'll have to learn & grow at Cutover... * You'll play a leading role in an early stage, rapidly scaling Commercial Organisation, with a meritocratic approach: we want to promote and retain our top performers. * Learning, development an
