Speech and Language Therapist - Community Paediatrics
Overview
Job Description
The Community Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service provides pre-referral activity triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and advice, guidance and support for parents and families of children with a wide range of speech, language and/or communication and/ or eating, drinking and swallowing needs including Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairment, Phonological Disorders, Dysfluency, Additional Support Needs and Language Disorder. You will be responsible the for assessment, diagnosis and management of your own caseload, maintaining associated records, providing speech and language therapy intervention to children up to 18 years old from admission to discharge. It is essential you have a Appropriate Ordinary/Honours degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent and hold a Certificate to Practice as a Speech and Language Therapist as awarded by the RCSLT. You should also have current registration with the HCPC. The hours of this post are worked 8:30 - 4:30 or 9-5.
