JOB ADVERT Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Speech and Language Therapy Assistant - Adult Services Band 3 Full-time 37.5 hours/week, Permanent We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to support our department of Speech & Language Therapists at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Our large and friendly team of Speech and Language Therapists work with adult patients across Charing Cross, St Mary's and Hammersmith Hospital sites. This post, which is based predominantly on the Charing Cross hospital site but with some cross-site working to St Mary's, will assist the speech and language therapy (SLT) service in providing high quality clinical management to patients. Your work will be varied and busy and will include: * Providing efficient and quality administrative support to the SLT service e.g. typing, filing letters/reports, processing and organisation of outpatient referrals, maintaining the accuracy of patient databases. Please note that there will be periods where this represents a significant proportion of the daily workload. * Carrying out speech and language therapy programmes with inpatients as directed by a therapist. * Supporting the SLT team develop and create supportive materials for patient care. * Assisting the SLT team in the planning and delivery of specific training packages. You must have: * Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to adapt your communication to support others with communication difficulties * Good time management skills and prioritisation skills and the flexibility to respond to different demands each day * The ability to work well within a team * Computer literacy with evidence of Microsoft Office experience * Experience of working with people in an education, care, health or social care setting Interview date as the 24th of June but may have to do a second round on 1st July depending on the number of applicants.
