Job Description

An opening has become available for Deputy Manager of a 3 bed residential childrens home, set in a beautiful location with outdoor spaces, en suite facilities and excellent transport and school links. You must be experienced working with young people or children in a residential setting. The salary starts at £24,000 going upwards depending on experience.This is a very rewarding position changing young peoples lives for the better. The right candidate should have good knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and will be responsible for implementing all policies and procedures in line with the Regulations, and have the ability to create the necessary paperwork to meet these Regulations. They will be expected to create Risk Assessments, Care Plans and Behaviour Support Plans as well as all other necessary documentation to support our young people. The Deputy Manager will take a lead and work alongside the Registered manager to ensure that the quality of care the young people are receiving meets all regulations and is second to none. You will be managing a staff team and liaising with social services and other outside agonies to provide the best support possible. There will be on call duties and some weekends and sleeps will be required however an overtime rate is available fo any extra hours. You will be providing a nurturing environment whilst offering the highest level of therapeutic and inclusive style of care to our children and young people, you will be influential in improving the lives of vulnerable young people and will be imperative in providing a safe and caring environment for all the residents. and providing a positive role model for all young people. You must be trained to level 3 in Residential childcare and be willing to work towards your level 5 in management. A driving license is essential for this role.
