Job Type Social Care - Children and Young People Group Community and Children's Services Division Children's Commissioning Consortium Cymru Grade Grade 14 Specific Salary 43,662 Contract Type Temporary Full Time Advert Details FIXED TERM / SECONDMENT UNTIL 31st MARCH 2021 This is an exciting opportunity to work with the national children's commissioning team. Primarily the focus of the work will be developing the foster care and residential care market in Wales; to work in partnership with all 22 Local Authorities to identify their commissioning needs, develop placement commissioning strategies and market position statements, and to work in partnership with Independent Providers operating in Wales or new market entrants. The successful candidate will be based in Abercynon but must be prepared to travel across Wales as required by the work programme. They will need to be effective at working within each stage of the commissioning cycle and leading excellent commissioning practice across Wales by example. They will be confident at presenting to senior management teams and have a track record in project management. Collaboration with stakeholders across Wales such as CIW, Participation Groups, SCW and Welsh Government is a key part of the role. Experience of working with children looked after is desirable.
