Latest start date 15/08/2016 Expected contract length Maximum 2 year Region London Organisation the work is for Home Office Job Description About the work Who the specialist will work with Programme Manager, Project Managers, Technical Architects, Business Analysts and PMO team - internal team, external supplier and business representation. What the specialist will work on Creating and managing RFC's through the lifecycle; this will include initial specification and assuring supplier response, taking through approvals process and tracking/managing milestone plans. In addition the role encompasses reporting at both portfolio and project level via communications and check points. You'll work in a multi-disciplinary team supporting the work stream; reporting, planning, manage the risk and issue registers and tracking / managing milestone plans. Work setup Address where the work will take place London, although some UK travel many be expected. Working arrangements 5 days per week, hands on, in the office working alongside the existing team. Security clearance Minimum clearance is Disclosure Scotland. Candidates must also have SC or be eligible for SC clearance. Qualifications Skills and experience Essential skills and experience * 3+ years' experience from a Project delivery/PMO function * 2+ years' experience of working in teams using an agile or iterative delivery methodology * Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity * Encourage a culture of innovation focused on adding value - give people space to think creatively * Create clear, pragmatic and manageable plans and reports * Has experience from public sector Nice-to-have skills and experience * Provide constructive challenge to senior management * Experience in developing lightweight processes * Experience in not allowing unnecessary bureaucracy and structure to suppress innovation and delivery Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
