You'll also get the chance to meet with leading social entrepreneurs from all around the world, build empathy and teamworking skills, and participate in key events in the sector. Volunteer positions available It's not uncommon for the members of the team to help out in different areas. The ideal candidates will be adaptable and willing to 'muck in' wherever and whenever they are needed. Positions are available in different areas of our team, depending on its current needs. Although we cannot guarantee to place you in an area where you are most interested in, please still specify in your application If you have a preference. Fellowship : Bring together UK's most ambitious and effective changemakers - our elected Ashoka Fellows - through network connections, strategic advice and measuring the impact of their work, among many other things! Venture : Search for the most innovative social entrepreneurs in the UK by performing research, benchmarking, site visits, reference checks and creating extensive documents on the work of the next potential Ashoka Fellows! Partnerships : Promote the social entrepreneurship sector in the UK, think creatively about partnerships opportunities and help strengthen the development of Ashoka's partnerships. Media / Communications : Lead Ashoka UK's key communication campaigns, spread the words on Ashoka's events and promote Ashoka's work to the world! Events: A serial organiser, who is constantly creating order among chaos! Required skills and experience For all volunteer positions, we look for candidates that have the following skills and experience: * Excellent interpersonal, communication and time-management skills. * Self-starter with ability to work productively, proactively and independently. * Organized and detail-orientated. * Tech-Savvy, with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software. * Experience in the citizen sector is desired, e.g as a social entrepreneur, intrepreneur, volunteer, etc. * Demonstrated track record in producing high quality written materials and/ or research. Please also note that ... We run three cycles of volunteer recruitment every year, with target start dates in January, May and September. Each volunteering cycle runs for around four months. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; so please submit your application even it is in the middle of a cycle. Time commitment: Full-time (with some flexibility) or part-time depending on role.
