Job Description

We are looking for a substantive associate director for business intelligence and analytics, to lead our BI department. This post is responsible for leading on developing and delivering the Trusts business intelligence and analytics plan. East London NHS Foundation Trust has a global reputation for its approach to quality and people participation. The mission of the Trust is to improve quality of life for all we serve. The associate director for business intelligence and analytics will play a critical role in ensuring that all our people (staff, service users, stakeholders and commissioners) have the information and insights they need in order to plan and design services (quality planning), manage services in real-time (quality control), provide assurance on delivery against key standards and indicators (quality assurance) and support improvement (quality improvement). The postholder will lead on delivery of high quality reporting and analytics to a range of internal and external stakeholders; ensure that the business intelligence and analytics department has a highly professional, customer-focused culture in support of the Trusts mission; champion the use of analytics to drive decision-making across all areas of the Trust and within the overall health and care community. This will require first-class technical skills in information architecture, next generation analytics and big data, together with first-class skills in working with people and leadership.
