We mobilise important healthcare information to ensure that, whichever health or social care setting a patient presents, the most up to date and relevant information is made available. Your new team You'll be part of our Healthcare Gateway Development department, who're a close-knit team of Developers passionate about innovation and what we do. You`ll have regular contact with the wider Healthcare Gateway team; including our sales, marketing, project management and product teams, so plenty of knowledge and expertise to help you to succeed in your role! About the role On the back of exciting expansion plans for the Development team in Leeds we are looking to recruit a keen, enthusiastic and proactive Junior Java Developer. As a Junior Java Developer you'll report and be mentored by a member of the Development team and provide technical support and expertise to the wider team. You'll help to inform team member's decisions by utilising your experience and knowledge to date and have involvement with departmental business processes. You'll also have a focus on process improvement and help to increase productivity, quality and efficiency within the department. Who you'll be These are the skills and experience you'll need to set yourself up for success for this role, however we'd still love to talk to you even if you don't tick all of them; * Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, problem solving, decision making, and effective negotiation * A degree or HND equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering would be beneficial * A relatable technical background * Some software engineering experience in enterprise software development & Software Project delivery in a software company or system integrator would be beneficial * A basic understanding of different software development life cycles, particularly the agile methodologies (SCRUM, DSDM, XP, Lean or Kanban) * Working knowledge of standard brokering and database technologies, including Java, .Net and ASP, MVC/Web app, HTML, CSS, JavaScript What we'll give you This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to learn and develop their existing skill set using cutting edge technology is genuinely assisting healthcare professionals provide better, faster and cheaper patient care.
