At Orchard House we offer compassionate, individualised residential and nursing care to 80 residents in a friendly and homely environment. Orchard House is set right in the heart of the Cotswold village of Bishops Cleeve, at the foot of Cleeve Hill, the highest point in the Cotswolds. Carer / Health care Assistant Location: Orchard House, Woodmans Way, Bishops Cleeve, GL52 8DP Pay: WEEKDAYS 9.00 - 9.30 WEEKENDS 10.00 - 10.30 Hours of work: Full Or Part time available The Orders of St John Care Trust is the 2nd largest not for profit care provider in the UK specialising in providing high quality, person centred care for older people, in care homes and extra care housing. As a charity, we ensure that any revenue goes straight back into our homes meaning our residents and staff are well looked after. The Home Orchard House accommodates 50 residents, some of whom have complex nursing needs. The home is located within the heart of Bishops Cleeve and the nearby Cheltenham town can be accessed easily by bus. You will be joining an established team of nurses, carers and ancillary employees, some of whom have worked with us for 10 years or more. The team itself is supplemented by a group of volunteers who are very actively involved in delivering support to residents. You will enjoy the homely atmosphere of Orchard House where we promote friendly interactions between residents and employees. The Role Care is at the heart of everything that we do. Working within the Care team you will show warmth, compassion and support to our residents and their families; helping to promote independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of people you are looking after. You will often be helping people with their personal needs as well as supporting them to go about their daily activities, but you will know what makes a difference to them and what helps to put a smile on their face.
