Job Description University Student Carers needed during Uni breaks Are you at University and return to Woking or Guildford during your University breaks? or, maybe you study at Surrey University. Maybe you are looking for some extra funds to supplement and support you while you study, that can fit in and around your course? If you care about others, then working as a carer for Home Instead Senior Care is the type of job role that students should certainly consider. It can be a very rewarding way of helping the lives of the elderly in the local community while, at the same time, earning some money for yourself. The work involved in care can be much more varied than you might imagine. You could be helping people on an almost full-time basis or just as an occasional "helper-out" for people who want to remain as independent as possible while remaining in their own homes. Caring can include anything from picking up a prescription, shopping, doing washing-up, preparing meals and supporting / assisting with bathing and toileting. We provide all new carers with three days bespoke award winning training so, you will have all the knowledge and know-how to support our clients right from the start and throughout your time with us. Home Instead Senior Care - Guildford and Woking are looking for compassionate and empathic people to help and support our clients live independently during School / Uni breaks. You can work a variety of different ways like many of our University students that are already carers: Full or part time. Morning / evening shifts during term time. Weekend hours during term time or just Uni breaks Summer / Christmas and or any other breaks We ask that : You're over 18 You're a driver with use of your own car You can commit to 37 hours over 5 or 6 days a week Can commit to at least 6 hours on an alternate weekend What we offer in return: Excellent pay- up to 12.50 per hour Travel time Ongoing training and support Out of office hours support Free DBS check Accrued holiday A minimum of 1-hour client visits Employee Assistance Programme Staff discount portal If you have a passion for caring, motivation to help us achieve our ambitions and believe in our ethos, we would love to hear from you.
