Over the past 30 years, Siemens and Gamesa have accumulated thousands of hours of Service experience at Inland, Coastal and Offshore sites. We are No1 in our field. You now have the opportunity to be part of our future by joining our company and undertaking our renowned Apprenticeship programme. Our Advanced Apprenticeship in Environmental, Health & Safety is a 36 - 48-month program which we believe to be best in class. In the first 24 months you will work towards a Level 3 apprenticeship programme to become an Environmental, Health & Safety Technician. In parallel, you will also study for the NEBOSH National General Certificate (Level 3), followed by a Level 3 qualification in Environmental Management. During this period, you may be required to live away from home. You will then begin year 3 of your apprenticeship where you will undertake further study and work towards a level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety as well as continue with obtaining in-depth practical experience at one or more of our service sites. In addition, you will be required to progress through a Siemens Gamesa bespoke competency programme. Finally, you will complete an End Point Assessment where you will demonstrate your experiences and competence. Success in the above will provide you with the opportunity to fulfil the requirements of an EHS Specialist and secure Graduate membership of a professional institution such as IOSH. Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to: * Engage with and promote the #HomeSafe EHS Culture. * Partake in EHS related improvement initiatives and projects to bring benefit to the business. * Proactive monitoring, hazard identification and facilitating the implementation of effective control measures. * Partnering with operations management and employees to provide advice and guidance on legislation, standards and local expectations / guidelines. * Perform point of work visits to engage with service technicians, perform inspections / audits and provide coaching & development in EHS matters. * Create, develop and assist with delivery of EHS inductions and training. * Provide assistance in the completion and regular review of risk assessments. * Ensure all accidents, incident, and near misses are recorded, reported and investigated in accordance with company procedures and all corrective actions are identified, implemented, monitored and reviewed. * Ensure EHS event statistics and key performance indicators (KPIs) are compiled, analysed for trends, acted upon locally and shared throughout the business as necessary. * Ensure all relevant health, safety and environmental records (e.g. records of thorough examination, risk assessments, training records etc.) are kept, maintained and updated as and when necessary. What you need to make a difference A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for... * Applicants must possess at least three A-levels at Grade C or above (or equivalent). * In the case of those currently studying for their A-levels, applicants should have corresponding predicted grades (NB: failure to achieve predicted grades would result in any offer of employment being withdrawn). * A Level 2 (or equivalent) ICT qualification is desirable. * Must be able and willing to travel to other site locations throughout the UK * Have a desire for a fulfilling career in Environmental, Health & Safety Management. * Reside within 30 minutes commute of Ramsgate * Have a good head for heights. * Prepared to work in a challenging Offshore/
