The Facilities and Safety Manager is responsible for three operational sites in Reading and Wokingham, covering laboratories (operating under pharma GMP and UKAS 17025), industrial kitchens, administration and welfare facilities over 8,000 sq metres. The role is responsible for ensuring work is completed in line with all relevant legislation and will lead the Facilities and EHS team (5 direct reports), along with key contractors to provide an efficient and effective service supporting all RSSL business operations and premises. Strategically manage the development and maintenance of all facilities including hard and soft services in supporting RSSL business operations, ensuring operational downtime is kept to a minimum whilst operating within a GMP Pharma environment To lead, develop and maintain the Safety & Environment (S&E) management systems for the Reading sites ensuring continuous improvement programs are implemented in accordance with MDLZ S&E key performance indicators. Manage all contractors. Including but not limited to Permits to Work and appropriate Risk Assessments Act as the Facilities Security Control (FSC) for RSSL and comply with the roles and responsibilities as detailed by Mondelez International Security Instructions. Act as the Responsible Person on Fire Safety and comply with the roles and responsibilities as detailed by the Fire Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Act as a Customs Declaration point of contact for RSSL and be qualified to complete those duties from an approved accredited training service provider. Project manage and cost control of small to medium facilities projects, appointing and managing appropriate contractors to implement. Maintain and actively manage a facilities risk register to ensure all property and external environment risks are dealt with appropriately. Maintain strong ties with external providers of HSE and Security at our sites Flexibility in supporting the site out of hours during operational and facility unplanned and planned events (active participation in Business Continuity Incidents) Deliver a year on year improvement with the HSE MDLZ Gaps Assessment document.
