What it's like to work here This captivating 16th Century Tudor manor house is renowned for its fine collection of textiles and elegant gardens. The team is focussed on conservation projects as well as providing an exceptional family friendly visitors experience. We have tried to bring this spirit of creativity and invention to the design of the cafe, as well as Mr Ash's good taste and eye for detail. The lighting has been inspired by the chandeliers in the Great Hall, a new range of contemporary delft tiles echoing those found in Baron Ash's bathroom has been created in collaboration with Fired Earth, and the walls feature images inspired by the gardens and the visitors books signed by Mr Ash's guests in the 1930s and 1940s. The 80 seater Cafe is modern in design with a menu inspired by Packwood's Kitchen Garden, which is lovingly tended by Kitchen Garden staff and team of volunteers. The fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers grown in the Kitchen Garden will feature on the menu, which includes delicious cakes, warming 'one pots', salads, sandwiches, baked potatoes and hot and cold drinks.
