Job Description
Weblogic/Middleware Consultant (JBoss & Weblogic) Location: London, UK Job Type: Contract Job Description: * Primarily experienced in JBoss and WebLogic. * Secondary skill required is UC4 * Creation and management of Application pool, virtual directory,.NET framework version on IIS Web / Application Server. * Managed and administered Domains, Clusters, JDBC Connection Pools, JDBC Data sources, Message services, Security and other resources on BEA WebLogic Server 12C, 11g, 10g Server Platforms. * Installed, configured and maintained IIS 6.X/7.5, WebLogic 12C, 11g, 10g with JDBC, JMS, JNDI, SNMP and J2EE Services. * Deployed different Applications (WAR, JAR, SVC, ASPX and EAR) in Domain and Clustered environment. * Performed SOA and OAG deployments in live environment. * Having strong skills in troubleshooting the issues faced by customers on applications hosted on the Servers. * Well Versed in Weblogic, Load balance and Trouble shooting skills. * Configured multiple WebLogic domains by using Configuration Wizard. * Monitored WebLogic server resources. * Configured and administered Connection pools for JDBC connections and JMS Connections. * Having a good knowledge on clustered environments and client-server architecture. * Handling customer requests in Remedy. * Committed team player with strong analytical and problem solving skills, Willingness to relocate and ability to quickly adapt to new environments & technologies, dedicated to successful project completion with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to understand client requirement and provide the best solution. A keen desire to learn and update knowledge base and skill sets to keep abreast of latest technologies and trends. * Analyze and develop technology solutions based on customer requirements. * Build and implement middleware products to meet business demands. * Work with Developers and Architects in developing middleware configurations based on requirements. * Identify and apply innovative technologies to update existing middleware. * Create and maintain documentation for middleware installations, changes and upgrades. * Train Junior Engineers on middleware updates and new installations. * Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades. * Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems in timely and accurate manner to improve application performance and functionality. * Develop and implement strategies for migration, consolidation and upgrade of middleware components. * Evaluate system architecture and make recommendations as required. * Develop and implement standard processes for installation, maintenance and enhancement of middleware applications. * IBM Websphere Application Server 6.x, 7.0, 8.x * Apache Web Server * IBM HTTP Server * CA Siteminder Policy Server with SAML integration. * Familiarity with DB2 and SQL Databases * Experience in shell and Perl scripting is a must.
