Kirklees Council is seeking to fill a vacancy in its Transformation and Operational Services teams. The role is to deliver complex change projects for key services affecting Kirklees residents across the district. Operational services includes management of highways, parks and open spaces, waste and recycling collections, waste disposal, street cleansing, and various others. The first programme of works for you in this role would be focused on how we can modernise and think innovatively in delivering highways services. Experience in highways transformation would be ideal but is not necessarily essential. We believe there is scope to transform services delivered to Kirklees citizens - the scale of this challenge requires support from the brightest and best talent in the sector. In this role you will develop, manage and successfully deliver a complex, high valued programme of strategic projects and initiatives, and will also lead and drive the design, development and implementation of evidenced strategies, complex research, and provide reports and presentations across the spectrum of Operational Services. We are looking for an individual with extensive experience of delivering complex programmes in a partnership context, within a structured project management process to challenging timelines. You will also have excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, the ability to understand and motivate staff, to work with senior managers and Members, and the ability to carry out financial planning and understand, assimilate and communicate complex information.
