Senior PHP Developer Birmingham 35 - 40k DOE Ref: WD136 Are you looking for a role as a Senior PHP Developer? Do you enjoy working individually and as part of a team? Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a Senior PHP Developer for a organisation who are expanding their web development team to cope with year-on-year growth and lead the development of cutting-edge systems and e-commerce sites. If you're looking for a challenge, and keen to learn new skills along the way, then this could be for you! The ideal candidate is someone who: Has a passion for development, a positive attitude and a desire to learn Writes clean code Will take pride in their work, and consistently demonstrate an extremely high level of achievement and attention to detail Will be highly self-motivated, able to work as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision Has at least 2 years of commercial experience Communication skills - able to explain technical issues to non-technical users Essential Skills: Degree Educated 2:1 or above PHP Relational databases JavaScript JQuery HTML, CSS Linux Experience working in a team using BitBucket / Git Proficient in secure, reusable code and ideally familiar with popular frameworks Knowledge and good understanding of OO design patterns Desirable Skills: Familiarity with MVC frameworks such as Laravel. Developing sites with Bootstrap/Foundation/similar Experience with single page apps A highly organised and methodical approach is essential, together with an ability to work under minimal supervision and be willing to contribute ideas.
