The only monthly, international, PubMed listed, wound care journal with an impact factor of 1.95. We are the official journal of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies and exclusive media partner to European Wound Management Association, we are also associated and partnered with many other leading wound care organisations, associations, societies and charities. These international networks enable exciting international travel and the opportunity for you as the editor of JWC to be globally respected as a figure head and key stakeholder within the market. The ideal candidate will hold a PHD in a relevant science. In return, you will recieve a well-rounded and sophisticated editorship. You will work alongside an established team on JWC in a supporting environment providing you with many opportunities for growth and progression. During Lockdown we have launched a week-long webinar series called Wounds Week along with publishing an international consensus on Medical Device Related Pressure Ulcers caused by PPE. Sub-editing and proof reading articles for the monthly Journal of Wound Care. 2. Commissioning of high quality articles from suggested authors ensuring articles are peer reviewed and building up a stock of articles for future issues. 3. Writing editorials or news focuses as required. 4. Producing submitted articles to the editorial policy as agreed and to ensure high standards of accuracy and layout. 5. Sourcing illustrations and photographs, proofreading, and liaising with authors. 6. Producing page layouts for the titles with the use of Adobe In-Design and liaising with the printers to ensure that all files are received on time. 7. Following the guidelines and rules of the Impact Factor and maintaining the quality of content, ensuring that that journal in published in accordance with the publishing schedule. 8. Working closely with the editorial board members to ensure that the contents meet the needs of the journal audience. 9. Managing the journals editorial budget ensuring that costs are strictly adhered to. 10. Working with the sales team, associate publisher and publishing director to help maximise commercial potential for the journal. 11. Attending commercial meetings with clients together with the publishing director and sales team in support of extended brand initiatives. 12. Managing and assisting with associated activities, including conferences, supplements, online initiatives, books and directories 13. Assisting in the process of marketing of subscriptions by keeping the department up to date of developments with editorial content. 14. Producing conference programmes and chairing events as required. 15. Keeping up to date with all that is happening in the field. 16. Making a personal contribution to the success and growth of the publication.
