Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Business Management, the successful candidate will be based in London and will be responsible for providing project and business management support to the wider Client and market Services department, with focus on the SMT. Client and Market Services has a range of responsibilities across LSE, Borsa Italiana, Turquoise, EuroTLX and FTSE. These include technical account management, support desks and market operations. The department also plays a pivotal role in Group wide initiatives and on the timely delivery and consistently high standard of key Group projects. Market Operations Services is responsible for the on-going operations of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) - Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives, Turquoise Equities and Borsa Italiana markets. There is a broad range of activities within this team: Admissions of all new and further issues to the London Stock Exchange markets; Real time support of market activities, including on behalf of actions for participants; Reference data management for all instruments admitted and traded on all markets; Set up of participants' static data to support trading, settlement and clearing; Post trade operations and on-going liaison with post trade partners; On-going development of critical internal tools to support the processes conducted within the team and on-going operational readiness for a range of teams, and Department and Group wide projects and initiatives. Responsibilities * Manage resource planning for CMS project activity in conjunction with the PMO function * Support the Head of Business Management on finance and budget planning, including BAU resource tracking and timesheet reporting * Support delivery of COO communication plan, including management of Town Halls, support for SMT direct report meeting and regular briefings * Support the Business Continuity co-ordinator in planning and maintaining plans for the critical functions within the exchange * Respond to ad hoc requests for support from SMT * Department project co-ordination, including EUC/property Key Behaviours and Skills * Ideally educated to degree level, with excellent common sense * Good understanding and experience of Capital Markets, general financial markets, operations or technology. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * Project co-ordination/Business Management background * Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Excellentuse of Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint, Word and Excel. * Excellent organisational and time management skills. * Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. * Ability to be flexible and adaptable to new and changing responsibilities. * Continuous improvement, training and development. * Willingness to learn and adapt knowledge base to different product areas/skills. * Management and motivational skills. * Able to manage multiple stakeholders with potential conflicting views People are at the heart of what we do and drive the success of our business.
