PE Teacher - Secondary school * North London * Full time, maternity cover * Sept 2020 start * MPS/UPS Classroom Teachers are currently looking for a passionate PE Teacher with previous experience to join an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' secondary girls school in North London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an great school and hardworking team. We are accepting applications from NQT's. All applicants should have UK QTS or an overseas formal secondary school teaching qualification. You will: Teaching PE to students in Years 7 to 11 and GCSE PE in Years 10 and 11. Planning and preparing courses and lessons, including contributing to the work of the department by writing, reviewing and updating schemes of work Updating assessment materials for particular topics Taking responsibility for the creation of resources for particular parts of the curriculum Taking responsibility for students' health and safety in your lessons as set out in the department's health and safety policy Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of students in line with departmental and school assessment policy Candidate requirements: You must have previous experience working in this sort of environment You will need an enhanced DBS, this can be process through us and will cost a fee of £40 that the government charge - we add no extra administration fee. A QTS is essential You must be passionate about education, and possess a positive and engaging demeanour.
