Job Summary & Responsibilities A fantastic career opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join the team within a busy and inspirational environment where you will be part of a brigade which creates exciting bistro-style cuisine using fresh local produce. This venue has secured a series of hospitality and tourism awards and is growing in popularity. About the job * Assist the team with the preparation and cooking of great food * Working with high quality locally and regionally sourced food * Running your own section of the kitchen * Creating simple, honest and generous British dishes * Learning new skills and cooking techniques * Ensure full compliance with food safety legislation and requirements Requirements * Passion and enthusiasm for cooking * At least one year's experience as a Chef de Partie or three as a Commis * A desire to learn and improve * Confident and creative * Level 2 / 3 in Professional Cookery * Good knife skills and able to carry out basic kitchen preparation with accuracy and speed * Can run at least two sections of a kitchen * Has the confidence to challenge menu decisions and able to suggest alternative solutions * Can manage and give direction to a small number of Commis and Apprentice Chefs who will assist in your section * Knowledge of food hygiene regulations * Should already have the legal right to work in the UK / EU and ideally be living in the UK (for interview attendance purposes) Benefits * £22,050 per year plus gratuities * 28 days paid holiday * Contributory Pension * Straight shifts (48 hours per week) * Share of gratuities (Tronc) * Meals on duty * Full uniform * Staff discounts (25%) * Professional training and skills upgrading * Modern state of the art kitchen * Great opportunities for career progression
