It's not just what we do; it's how we do it! Do you have skills in governing the supply of services by managed service providers? Expert knowledge in: Windows Server and RedHat Linux operating systems to the latest versions, VMWare hypervisor technologies (vSphere; vCentre; vRealise, ESXi etc.) Intel compute platforms (HPe Synergy) all coupled with Compute platform monitoring, alerting and automation improvements and efficiencies? Architectural oversight along with strategic planning? If you have the above experience we would very much like to hear from you as we have a rare opportunity for a Platform SME to join our Infrastructure Platform team, based out of our Head Office in Bromley (just 20 minutes direct from London, Victoria). Who you'll be working with: As our Platform SME, you will be responsible for maintaining, protecting and improving the value provided to DLG in line with the overall Technology strategy & direction. The Platform SME is a specialist role within the Infrastructure Platform team What you'll be doing: * Lead, Run and maintain overall technical solutions integrity of DLG's Compute Platforms * Technical strategy and architecture oversight * Governance and Assurance of DLG's Managed Service Providers related to the platform * Ensure Strategy direction is fit for purpose and meets business and operational readiness criteria * Support our Technical assurance approach which provides confidence to stakeholders and ensures that the value of proposed changes will be achieved * Provide proactive advice and guidance to support third party suppliers to ensure the delivered solution meets the agreed service and solution design and standards (including security protocol) * Partner with service integration, service operations and service architecture teams to support end to end service operations across the supply chain * Provide leadership and act as a Technical Design Authority for Compute infrastructure components What we'll give you We have a strong focus on developing you and your skillset and work hard to give you the tools to do so.
