CIMD partners with various teams across the firm to help individuals and institutions navigate changing markets and take control of their financial lives.Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for high net worth individuals and families, as well as foundations, endowments and select institutions. PWM teams work on-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities, by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond. The Investment Strategy Group (ISG) within Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management has responsibility for strategic and tactical asset allocation views and advice for the firm's high net worth clients and certain institutions. The role of an ISG member requires a broad set of qualities, including a passion for investing, client servicing, as well as strong analytical and communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIALThe principal responsibilities may include: - Assisting with construction of customised portfolio allocations and analyses for our clients, to help them meet their investment objectives- Assisting with customised research reports and presentations for clients on various investment topics- Generating ideas for improving our strategic asset allocation models- Researching risk and return characteristics for individual asset classes and strategies, as well as for multi-asset class portfolios- Surveying academic research and industry practices on asset allocation approaches- Disseminating information and views to Wealth Management teams and clients- Delivering timely, thoughtful, and flawless execution- You will also have the opportunity to attend client meetings and calls, once you have become familiar with the ISG team's models and views SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent of above in quantitatively-related fields required- Prior experience gained from working within the investment banking / financial services industry required- Experience in developing customised asset allocations and analysing and optimising client portfolios required- Familiarity with High Net Worth and small/mid-sized institutional client groups required- Experience with multi-asset allocation models and knowledge of risk tolerance (volatility), performance targets, return uncertainties and tax considerations parameters- Familiarity with risk management processes / metrics including Value at Risk, Probability of Loss, drawdowns and factor-based stress testing- Demonstrable involvement with continuous improvement / automation initiatives required- Experience in Python and/or other programming languages and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required- Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms- Strong analytical and technical skills with knowledge of statistical methods - time series analysis, correlation, Monte Carlo etc. required- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion to engage with clients- Attention to detail, patience, and ability to multi-task under pressure- Keen interest in understanding financial markets- Collaborative and team work oriented- Independent, logical, and critical thinking, with the willingness to constantly think outside of the box ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
