Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Part Time Clinical or Forensic to join our established Psychology Department at Cygnet Lodge Kenton, comprising of Clinical Psychologists, Art Therapists as well as Assistant Psychologists and Psychology students. Cygnet Lodge Kenton in North-West London, is a female mental health rehabilitation service which provides a care pathway for service users who are preparing to step down to community living. Our service provides a high level of support and uses a recovery focused model. The Opportunity... The post-holder will work within the step down service to support the women with borderline personality disorders, eating disorders, severe and enduring mental health problems e.g. psychosis, substance use and behavioural difficulties. Youwill have a key role in providing specialist psychological assessments, interpretation from psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, individual and group therapy to include highly specialist DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) to a range of clients at the service. You will also consider potential risks and social needs of the client group, relevant to their diagnosis. This role will be working as part of an established multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and be expected to offer psychological insight and knowledge around the clinical area and provide consultation about the psychological care of the client group to staff, families and other agencies. As a HCPC Registered Psychologist, you will have a pivotal role in the training and clinical supervision of Assistant Psychologists, Volunteers and Psychology Trainees/Students on site. You will also have involvement in audit, policy, service development along with the assessment and interpretation of outcomes. You will have... Essential: * A Doctorate Level Qualification (BPS route or equivalent) in Clinical or Forensic Psychology along with HCPC Registration * Experience with an adult mental health client group. It is also highly desirable for the successful candidate to have experience/training within DBT and Recovery Approach in a mental health setting * The ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
