SVP - Head of FX Options Trading Data Technology - London

Job Description
We are looking for a passionate technologist who will assume responsibility of a portfolio of applications within FX Options technology at Citi. This role will have responsibility of systems used for Volatility Analytics (Volt), Market Data and Trade Capture. This role will report into global head of FX Options technology. We expect to bring in a well rounded senior leader who is committed to staying hands on in both design and development. **Responsibilities:** + Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) + Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results + Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues + Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards + Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals + Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources + Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary + Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. **Qualifications:** + Experiencing of running multiple application development streams with globally distributed teams + Strong understanding of Derivatives trading business : FX preferred, Equity, Rates or Commodities acceptable too + Proven experience of managing Managing Director level clients and stakeholders + Extensive programming experience possibly in more than one languages. Java will be the primary technology stack. Python & C# have a heavy utilization as well + Experience of developing or lift & shift applications into cloud; awareness of Kubernetes best practices + Strong understanding of BigData and streaming platforms, in particular Apache Storm, Kafka and K-Streams + Understanding of Grid compute + Excellent communication skills + Strong project management skills + Working knowledge of industry practices and standards **Skills:** + Strong derivatives trade life cycle and pricing knowledge + Java/C# Python & Rest APIs written in these languages + Databases : RDBMS & NoSQL + Streaming platforms : Storm, K-Streams or any other industry standard like Spark or Samza + Middle ware : Solace, EMS, Kafka, + Openshift & Kubernetes ----- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - GB ----- Time Type :Full time ----- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
