Job Description
We are looking for a Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner, to join the nursing team in this busy Minor Injury Unit at Mount Vernon Hospital. We are a nurse led service, staffed by ENPs, seeing a wide range of minor injuries and ailments. We cover a large area of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and North London, seeing approximately 30,000 patients a year. Our opening hours are currently 9am-8pm 7 days a week, and your shift would be from 8.30am - 8.30pm. It is possible that this could be extended in the future. The successful candidate will have a University accredited minor injury course, minor illness course and autonomous practice course (or equivalent) They will also have at least six months experience of working in a similar environment. We see patients of all ages, and approximately 40 per cent of our patients are children. We also participate in the training of future Emergency Nurse Practitioners on placement from several universities, and the successful candidate would be expected to be involved in this.
