Job Description
Position : Cobol Developer Location : London, UK Job Type: Contract Must have Skills: * COBOL,Python, C++ with Unix, Shell Scripting * JD3+ years of experience in COBOL * Understand existing Cobol code base and design, develop, and test software solutions to meet new requirements within this software framework. * Provide application support for Cobol on Unix and shell scripted code base to the satisfaction of our clients. * Ability to understand and support software provided by 3rd party vendors and grasp how this works as part of the overall solution * Use tools to maintain software versions (Perforce) and to manage releases (JIRA) to professionally manage work being undertaken * Strong software development experience using Cobol * Ability to understand, maintain, and write Linux shell scripts * Strong understanding of Linux/Unix command-line tools (grep, sed, awk, cut, sort, diff, etc).
