NHS FIFE LOCUM CONSULTANT ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON VICTORIA HOSPITAL / QUEEN MARGARET HOSPITAL FIXED TERM FOR 6 MONTHS INITALLY FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME HOURS CONSIDERED REF NO: 023213 Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy with responsibilities at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. This appointment will support our OMFS service within NHS Fife, together with our 2 existing OMFS Consultants and an enthusiastic and experienced middle grade tier. Subsequent permanent Consultant posts are envisaged, and with the exception of head & neck cancer, opportunities for sub-specialty interests over the full remit of OMFS is possible. A regional network is in negotiation with NHS Tayside which provides head and neck cancer services (from Ninewells Hospital, Dundee), and emergency out-of-hours services on a 1:7 rota. The successful applicant will contribute to the local on-call rota. OMFS is a specialty within the Planned Care Directorate which is part of the Acute Services Division. You must be eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of your expected CCT at the time of interview.
